This is the X10 Powerhouse brand infrared to X10 mini-controller model number IR543. Perfect for inside home entertainment cabinets or any place where space is limited. This compact unit lets you control X10 modules, including lamp and appliance modules, wall switches and outlets, and universal modules in any housecode that you select A thru P. When used with an X10 capable infrared remote control, it can control up to 10 modules. A transceiver module is not needed to control X10 modules since the IR543 mini-controller generates its own X10 signals and directly feeds them onto your house wiring.
You can also control up to 8 X10 modules right at the top mounted keypad. It has four ON/OFF buttons that give you control of up to four devices (Unit Codes 1-4). Just flip a switch and the same buttons can control an additional four devices (Unit Codes 5-8). Also has DIM/BRIGHT capabilities for incandescent lights and an ALL LIGHTS ON and ALL UNITS OFF button. There's even a built-in LED on top and in the front window that flashes to indicate when you're sending an X10 signal, so you'll know at a glance if your commands are being carried out. Simply plug the mini-controller into any 120 Volts AC outlet, set the house & unit codes and you're in business. You can also use it to send signals to intelligent 2-way controllers to activate preprogrammed events (macros).
