This is the X10 PRO Powerflash Burglar Alarm interface module model number PSC01. Can be used to connect the output of any non X10 burglar alarm to flash house lights when the alarm is tripped. You can use your existing security system that doesn't have X10 capability to flash the lights in your X10 system.
Aside from the obvious use of being used with a security system to control X10 modules, there are many other uses for the PSC01 Powerflash Interface. Here's two examples: You could use it to turn on a light in the house letting you know that the garage door is open. You can use it with a float switch to turn on the sump pump in the basement when the water lever gets too high or have it sound an X10 siren or flash the lights so you will know the water level is rising. Additional components, sensors, switches, etc. may be needed to adapt the Powerflash interface to your particular application.
Compatible with all manufacturer's X10 home automation products including those from but not limited to GE, IBM, HomeLink, Leviton, Magnavox, RCA, Radio Shack, Safety First, Smarthome, Stanley, X10, and X-10 PRO.

To Catch a Thief

1. Used as garage door indicator. 2. Water meter reader comes by once a month. Trips Powerflash at gate leaving x10 module light on. I now know when he read the meter, and can lock the gate the rest of the month to secure property. 3. A friend caught teens jumping on and damaging bathroom sink by using magnets under sink , and tripped Powerflash module to alert him at the register when the light module went off. Busted !
